Get Kids into Survey

Get Kids into Survey

Developed in the UK, Get Kids into Survey poster series puts surveying and geospatial science in the spotlight and renders it approachable by highlighting what makes the professions exciting, challenging and rewarding.

Like the Where’s Wally puzzles of yesteryear, every poster is crammed with colourful characters, amusing situations and more. With complementary Q&A sheets that can be downloaded online, these educational aids help generate land surveying discussions in the classroom, at home and beyond.

Did we mention that they’re freely available online?

Survey Sydney from your screen

That’s right, the Sydney poster – as well as other Get Kids into Survey posters – are available to explore now at www.getkidsintosurvey.com.

For Australian audiences, the newly launched Sydney poster takes the appeal of the Get Kids into Survey poster series to another level.

Set against the backdrop of Sydney Harbour, with the Opera House dominating the skyline, this eye-catching and colourful poster places surveying jobs and geospatial studies in a very Australian context – making it the perfect talking point for primary school students.

Learn how school subjects connects to surveying

These fun educational resources help demonstrate how STEM subjects apply to real life infrastructure and development projects – assisting students to have a greater awareness of how vital STEM is to the modern world and what surveying and geospatial scientists do.

Since they are available to view online, these posters are suited for classroom or at home use. They’re an excellent tool to encourage students to pursue STEM education and related careers.

The posters aren’t the only colourful learning resource from the Get Kids into Survey stable. A high-impact comic book series, Geo Squad, uses engaging characters and storylines to communicate the power of surveying, geometry and geography.

You can download free copies right here on our site for use in the classroom.

How can you get your copies?

The Get Kids into Survey posters are freely accessible online. Visit Get Kids into Survey to explore the high resolution versions that have been made available.

While you are there, visit the ‘Quizzes’ section and download your copy of the Questions and Answers educational aids that complement each poster. This is a great way to inspire discussion amongst students about what surveyors do, why surveying is important and what sort of technology and equipment surveyors use.

The Get Kids into Survey page is also packed with other resources that will be invaluable for home and educational use – including colouring in pages and an educational comic book.
