Professional Training Agreements South Australia

(2-3 years in full time employment)

Professional Training Agreement provides a mechanism to enable a Graduate Surveyor to progress to registration as a Licensed Surveyor in South Australia.

The purpose of the PTA is to provide a structured training program to assist a Graduate Surveyor with the continuation of education and training to develop their skills. Each Registered Surveying Graduate will be required to enter into a PTA with an appropriately qualified Supervisor in order to gain the required practical experience to attain the competency necessary to become a Licensed Surveyor. This requires a minimum of 24 months supervised training.

This time must include a minimum of 12 months Cadastral training with not less than 6 months Urban Cadastral and not less than 3 months Rural Cadastral practical experience time. After completion of the PTA, a Graduate Surveyor is required to satisfactorily complete either an Urban or a Rural Cadastral Survey as a Professional Assessment Project.
