You might like to try Rogaining.

Rogaining is a team based event for all ages and abilities. The objective of rogaining is to collect the highest score by finding checkpoints within a set time limit. Teams of two to five members travel entirely on foot, navigating with the aid of a topographic map and analogue compass. Teams select their own order of visiting checkpoints, in terrain that varies from open countryside to hilly forest.

Try Surveying are proudly sponsoring the Australian Rogaining Championships this May in the Flinders Ranges. Entries close 20 April.

The Surveying SA Laptop Grants have been established to assist five commencing UniSA students by providing them with $1,000 to purchase a new laptop.

Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents. In 2012 to be eligible for the grant applicants must be be enrolled full-time in the first year of the Bachelor of Geospatial Science degree program.

The Surveying SA Scholarship of $5,000 per year is also open now to new students commencing the Masters of Surveying.
